One delivery partner in Nigeria, two government skills agencies, an employers’ body, a mortgage banking association and a trade association. Between them they supply the workforce, the training sponsorship and the mortgage finance that make the model work.
Delivery partner
UK ULDA is the funding and investment partner to Universal Learn Direct Academia (ULDA), a limited liability company registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in Nigeria. ULDA trains and upskills the construction workforce that builds our projects, and delivers them on the ground.
Trainee placement
The N-Power department of the National Social Investment Programme, in the Office of the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. N-Power allocates young unemployed graduates to us to be trained in construction trades and mentored towards employability and self-enterprise.
Offtaker finance
We have a working understanding with the Mortgage Banking Association of Nigeria for a number of its member banks to pre-qualify eligible offtakers for our projects - the buyers who take completed homes off the development.
Trainee sponsorship
NECA is the umbrella organisation of employers in the organised private sector of Nigeria, formed in 1957 to give government a forum for consulting private-sector employers on socio-economic and labour policy. NECA sponsors trainees for upskilling and skills acquisition, addressing the shortage of skilled labour among its members.

We have a working relationship with ArcSkills, an agency of the Lagos State Government that sponsors trainees for skills upgrade and acquisition.
Artisan upskilling
We hold a memorandum of understanding to upskill the association’s members. The strongest students are engaged on our projects in Nigeria and on projects run by our sister company in Dubai, Al Mutaaraf LLC.
The engineering institutions, regulators and construction standards that UK ULDA and its project professionals work to and with.
What these are. Some are institutions the cooperative and its professionals belong to, such as the Nigerian Society of Engineers and CIWEM. Others are regulators, chartered titles or construction standards the projects are delivered under, such as COREN and the CDM 2015 Regulations. The previous website described all nine as memberships; we have not repeated that, because it is not accurate for all of them.

Membership starts at £100 a month. Your contribution is pooled with other members, invested in housing projects approved in London and built in Nigeria, and measured on both financial and social return.
